"At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality" Che Guevara
A true follower of Jesus Loves. He Loves God, He loves People, He loves the down and out, the crack addicts, those who are Pro-Choice, and the Homosexuals. It is impossible to think of a genuine christian doing otherwise. But it isn't improbable, because we see it all the time. We see the folks out in Kansas making such a ruckus about God hating "Fags" the people that protest abortion clinics, or the guys that stand on street corners in downtown areas with their signs that say "The Party Ends in HELL". It is Funny that Che Guevera knew more about love than these guys. He was a Communist, Athiest, but He knew that as the bible puts it, "the greatest is Love.
One must have a large dose of humanity, a large dose of a sense of justice and truth in order to avoid dogmatic extremes, cold scholasticism, or an isolation from the masses. We must strive every day so that this love of living humanity is transformed into actual deeds, into acts that serve as examples, as a moving force." Che Guevara
I heard this put best in the movie "Hitch" he says "Live every day as if it were on Purpose". Christians must pursue with reckless abandonment to have a sense of Justice and truth, and to be connected to Humanity so that we can reach them and not grow cold. the church i talked about last week was a prime example of a group of people who lost the purpose, living in an area of Houston where the brokeness of humanity is seen on a daily basis, and all he could preach about is how baggy their pants were, and how low they wear them. They cut themselves off from the dose of humanity needed to reach and relate to the unsaved. Justice to them is thinking acting and looking like they think you should act, then you become just.
"I think the place to start is to recognize the individual's quality of incompleteness, of being an unfinished product. The vestiges of the past are brought into the present in one's consciousness, and a continual labor is necessary to eradicate them." Che Guevara
Isn't it amazing, that is where Almighty God started with us, is to show our incompleteness, and imperfection. As Christians we are to realize that everyone is incomplete and unfinished, including us. The people that our on our chicken list that we are afraid to talk to becuase we see then as better than we are, are just as incomplete as we are, and the ones thate we look to as if we are above them, we are just as broken and incomplete, and a few bad decisions from being in their shoes. It is our Job to Work and work hard to better ourselves and better others, and we must be in constant effort to get over the things of our past that haunt us.
"In moments of great peril it is easy to muster a powerful response with moral incentives. Retaining their effectiveness, however, requires the development of a consciousness in which there is a new scale of values. Society as a whole must be converted into a gigantic school." Che Guevara
Never stop learning, Never stop Growing
"The basic clay of our work is the youth; we place our hope in it and prepare it to take the banner from our hands." Che GuevaraIts like a relay race, You run as hard as you can run, and pray the whole time the person taking the baton has prepared harder than you have. So. in your training sessions it would be wise to grab the young runner and train with him, so you will know he is prepared when that all important hand-off occurs. One day he will run the leg you run, and one day he will have to hand off the baton. So not only should we teach them to run, but to teach them to do as we did in training for the hand off. (Build Leaders not followers, Build Leaders of Leaders, not leaders of Followers. If you build followers, when you die the revolution dies, if you build leaders you at least have one more generation. If you build leaders who build leaders, the revolution will continue.)
In a revolution one wins or dies, if it is a real one.Che Guevara
this is where we christians lose. I find it absolutely mind blowing that a person can commit so recklessly to a cause other than christianity. And yet i dare you to show me one american christian so committed to the Cause of christ
You cannot buy the Revolution. You cannot make the Revolution. You can only be the Revolution. It is in your spirit or it is nowhere. Ursula K. Le Guin
No real social change has ever been brought about without a revolution... Revolution is but thought carried into action. Emma Goldman
Revolutions are the locomotives of history.
Vladimir Lenin
The revolution must take place in men before it can be manifest in things.

The most heroic word in all languages is revolution.
