What impact will that have on your life
I don't get it, I come into work this morning and all the rage is people talking about how sad it was that some celebrity's nephew was murdered. Granted it is never okay or never a happy thing for a situation like this to happen, but what bearing does an actors nephew have on your life. Why do we as the General public need to know that some celebrities nephew was murdered. I think i can go on living without ever hearing that news, Let the family grieve in private and do what they need to do instead of making a national or possibly internationas spectacle of the death of one of their loved ones. and now her i sit with to folks on either side of me having a conversation about this poor family like it is any of their business. The only other Person in this world that know of that has any bearing on whether or not i wake up tomorrow besides my self, is my Jesus. So instead of focusing on the people that don't matter, and i say this in the most general way becuuse, the people themselves do matter they are no more or no less important than i am, but as far as affecting what i am doing to morrow or how much money i am going to make, or what i am going to do with the abilities and gifts that the creator has given me, some celebrity has no bearing on that.. this may sound harsh, and you may think i am a jerk and don't care about others. But i do care about people, and it is always sad when someone loses someone, but i don't think it should be broadcasted to the world... that is the part i don't like

you're not harsh. it's something that needs to be said. the media is dying for something to be big and something that they can make a spectacle of for air time. whether the election and Palin or the cruelty induced on a family, the media is constantly prowling and preying on things that pique our sadistic interests. in a way, we feel like it connects us to that person, makes us equal, or closer to them, instead of living our lives with those directly around us in mind. rough.
yea. not harsh. you're honest, and we all need to stare at ourself in the face of that honesty, and see if we really do care, or if we're just making a spectacle of these things because it makes us feel better or just so happens to be a convenient conversation piece.
jerk...:)
